IPO Caucus Election Process Commenced

The IPO process for electing members to the IPO Caucus commenced on February 18, 2008, a few days after we confirmed with the Secretary of State that we have over 10,000 members.

That confirmation triggered the process for electing the IPO Caucus, which has the power to nominate candidates for the November 2008 general election.

Two Caucus members will be elected by the IPO membership by secure internet voting. In order to vote, or run for a caucus position, you must (1) have registered to vote as an Independent and (2) have enrolled at this website as a voting member.

  1. To register as an Independent, go to Register to Vote.
  2. To enroll as a voting member of the IPO, go to Register IPO Membership.

Nominations will be open for 14 days, until March 3. Any member of the party may nominate registered party members to these 2 seats on the IPO Caucus. A list of nominees will be posted before midnight on March 4. This website will then accept votes on these nominees from enrolled party members for a period of 10 days, until midnight on March 14.
